Low carbon steels in CSP as important structural materials are widely used in buildings, bridges, towers, vehicles, etc [2,3] which are mainly operated under atmospheric environment.
It can be seen that corrosion weight losses of both materials increase monotonically with the prolonging of immersion time.

They still hold the position of one of the most important materials for engineering applications.
With high hardness accompanied by satisfactory toughness [1, 2], WC-Co cermets have been favorable materials against various severe conditions such as wear, erosion, corrosion, etc. [2, 3].
For example, Wentzel et al. [4] and Souza et al. [5] indicated that a Ni binder provides better corrosive resistance than a Co binder for WC materials.

In recent decades the main methods of toughening to ceramic materials are: particle dispersion toughening, fiber toughening and whisker toughening.
Grain boundary and the composition, shape, scale, structure of phase boundary has a great and even decisive influence to the properties of materials.
Compared with metals, the structure, function and theory of grain boundaries and phase boundaries to the ceramic materials is more complex.
