In order to provide deeper insight in this question we attempt to correlate the amounts of water formed upon friction of PU nanocomposites by using sensitive mass-spectrometric method and relate it to wear of the materials.
The flake-like wear debris typical for all PU-based materials formed after friction in vacuum is seen in the figure.

ABSTRACT
Ilmenite is an economically important and interesting mineral.
This mineral has can be used as the source of making titanium metal, titanium dioxide (TiO2) pigment and material for photo catalysts.
The utilization of Indonesia ilmenite to produce economically valuable material remains an interesting research topic due to abundant ilmenite reserves of more than 40 million tonnes[1].
Material The starting ilmenite used in this research is a natural ilmenite or iron titanate (FeTiO3) as by- product of tin production in Bangka Indonesia.
