According to Unified Standard for The Reliability Design of Building Structure (GB 50068-2001), when the structural members are designed according to bearing capacity limit state, for the general industrial and civil architecture whose safety level is second, the value of [β] is 3.2 when the ductile failure happen and turning into 3.7 when brittle failure happen.
The results of this study can also offer some reference for the safety assessment of some practical engineering problems.
