The calculation of machine parts with design notches (also stress raisers) is based upon elastic factor of the stress concentration kt [11].
The surface profiles, for example, after turning, grinding and superfinishing, have different values of material fraction, are different in sharpness profile and therefore have tendencies to formation of the cracks under load.
We must not forget also the savings of the material costs.

Introduction The final properties of the rubber material depend on a number of elements (type of base rubber, type and number of additives, composition and vulcanization), which renders the process of designing the blend very difficult and dependent on previous experience [1].
Materials and mechanical characterization The blends used in this work contained a base rubber (EPDM), carbon black (several grades, characterized by their dibutyl phthalate oil absorption, DBPA, and their iodine absorption number, IAN), an antioxidant (IPPD), sulphur, accelerants (CBS and DTDM), processing aids (zinc oxide and myristic acid) and naphthenic oil.

Introduction
Sensors that can withstand high temperature are significant in space exploration, combustion monitoring and oil drilling industries [1]. 4H-SiC is an attractive semiconductor material for high temperature electronic sensing applications because of its wide band gap, low intrinsic carrier concentration and high thermal conductivity [2]. 4H-SiC based sensors, including optical detectors, microelectromechanical sensors, gas sensors [1], temperature sensors [3, 4], etc., have drawn special attentions and been widely studied.
The starting material was a 4 inch n-type 4H-SiC wafer with epitaxial layers (grown by Norstel AB).
The p-type contact material was Ni/Ti/Al stack and it was formed by patterning, lift-off and RTA.
