The Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS), which took effect on 1 July 2006, restricts the use of six hazardous materials including Pb in the manufacturing of electronics devices.
Thus, the drive to eliminate lead (Pb) from electronics has resulted in the replacement of Pb-free alloys for both surface finish and soldering materials in electronic devices.
However, as the electronics industry migrated toward Pb-free assembly and system, the surface finish materials have been replaced with pure Sn or Sn-based alloys.

However, the wet etching processing is not adopted in the plastic materials because the chemical fluid usually damages the plastic substrate.
Laser direct writing can flexibly produce the ITO circuit patterns on the glass and plastic substrate, which the laser beam focuses on the ITO films and ablates the materials to form the ITO circuit patterns.
The overlapping rate is an important parameter in the laser materials processing and depends on the feeding rate and repletion rate of laser.
This research developed a UV laser materials processing system and produces the ITO circuit patterns on the glass substrates which uses the third-harmonic laser to ablate the ITO films.

Introduction Ultrasonic motor is a kind of new type driving device in recent years, it can turn high-frequency alternating current into stator’s vibration of ultrasonic motor by the inverse piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric material ,then it alternate current vibration into the rotation or linear motion of ultrasonic motor by the friction between stator and rotor[1].It has more characteristics than electromagnetic motor, such as low speed and high torque, light weight, micro-displacement, no noise, no electromagnetic effect and self-locking power.
