It is found that flap-twist coupling effect is only related to the laminated materials, not sensitive to the geometry shape.
Based on the previous study [5], the bend-twist coupling parameter is analyzed first in this paper, then the coupling effect is proved to be only related to the laminated materials by carrying out the spar cap of bend-twist coupling design.
The reason is that the transverse modulus of carbon fiber is similar to that of the glass fiber, there is no much difference in twist stiffness between two materials.
