Introduction Using the permanent magnate material as a rotor, the PMSM (permanent magnet synchronous motors)possesses enormous advantages such as smaller size, lighter weight, higher efficiency and power density, low noise and the rotor itself does not heat.

Introduction In recent years, extensive researches into the development of new cutting tools have enabled the manufacturers to machine very hard materials, for example, tool steel.
This particular plasticity model is suitable for deformation of materials at high strain rates which typically occur in the machining process.

Citation & Copyright (to be inserted by the publisher ) Thermoelectric Properties of the Pseudogap Fe2VAl System Yoichi Nishino Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Nagoya Institute of Technology Showa-ku, Nagoya 466-8555, Japan Keywords: Heusler alloy, Electrical resistivity, Seebeck coefficient, Pseudogap, Thermoelectric power Abstract.
A substantial reduction in the resistivity at around room temperature certainly acts in favor of the development of thermoelectric materials.
From the application viewpoint, thermoelectric materials are required to have not only a large Seebeck coefficient S but also a low electrical resistivity .
While the value of P for Fe2VAl is only of the order of 10 –5 W/m K 2 , the Si-substituted alloy shows a rapid increase in P with increasing temperature up to P = 5.5×10–3 W/m K 2 at around 300 K, which is as high as conventional thermoelectric materials such as Bi2Te3.
Since the value of for Fe2VAl is 20 – 25 W/m K [13] and is an order of magnitude higher than those for conventional thermoelectric materials like Bi2Te3, it is further necessary to clarify the doping effect on the lattice thermal conductivity.

The core materials are used to fabricate lightweight and stiff sandwich structures core [1].
Experimental Procedure Materials used.
Even though the materials stretch equally at the skin/core boundary, they both have completely different physical properties and therefore will react differently during flexural test hence cause the debonding of skin, Fig. 2 (b).

To combine the advantages of these two kind of materials, double layer inflating cushion made of rubber and metal or plastic is designed, which possesses the advantage of lightweight and shrinkability and can be used as safe cushion inside vehicle bumper.
(a) Before test (b)After test Fig.2 Double layer inflating safe cushion sample in test Performance test Material performance test is conducted on Germany electronic universal material testing machine, using material compression test method, compression ratio 10mm/min, compression length 30mm.
It can be observed after material compression test of double layer inflating safe cushion that, the main factors effecting safe cushion energy-absorbing effect include the size(D*H) and material of the sample, the air pressure, and the compression travel.
