As there are various types of drawbacks in water pre-treatment processes, and nowadays, the filtration theory and related technologies are relatively mature, we attempt to pre-treat slightly-polluted water by pre-filtration in this paper, with the use of a new type of porous environmental ceramic filter media (whose raw material is red mud manufactured by Shandong Aluminum Company, China), which is developed by School of Materials Science of Wuhan University of Technology, China, and has more excellent properties than that of quartz sand filter [6].

Perpetual research work has been done on harvesting energy from vertical heel-strike, particularly with piezoelectric and electro active materials.

In particular, using the MCCB, we demonstrate how we can easily evaluate durability of a product design based on multi-body dynamics and finite element simulation given mechanical properties of materials.
Hence, we modify SM45C through heat treating and design 4 mm diameter latch pin such that we can provide sufficient yield and fatigue strengths for the MCCB given material and size constraints.
The fatigue-life of materials is critically affected by applied mean stresses.

The Fe-14Mn-6Si-5Ni alloy is selected as the experimental material, which is chemically composed of 15.52% Mn, 5.47% Si, 4.03% Ni, and 74.98% Fe according to the mass fraction.
The industrial pure iron, electrolytic ferromanganese, silicon, micro-carbon ferrochromium, and electrolytic nickel are selected as smelting materials to produce an alloy in a vacuum ZG-0.025-type silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) intermediate-frequency induction furnace.
