Introduction
Cement-based materials are porous materials which has characteristics such as multi-phase composition, heterogeneity and multi-scale.
The Poisson's ratio of cement-based materials was assumed to be 0.25 for all measurements [19].
It is suspected that the small water to cement ratio leads to greater inhomogeneity of testing materials.

Journal of the Chinese Ceramic Society 33(7) (2005) 837-841

Experimental Description
Materials and Specimens.
The materials used were cement of type Portland 42.5R, general river sand, crushed gravel (the maximum grain size is 20 mm), and tap water.
Speed of sound in concrete depends on the relative concentration of its constituent materials, degree of compacting, moisture content and the amount of discontinuities present.
This correlated the damage variable with the macroscopic physical quantity of concrete materials and makes the physical meaning of damage clearer.
Etse, Journal of Engineering Mechanics, Vol.128 (2002), p.156

In the same way, people in the past paid more emphasis and priority on emotion and spirits than on materials.
How do the soft and material systems get function?
We think that the researches to traditional buildings should be related with the surroundings when civil culture, materials, weather, economy, environment, selected mode, lifestyle, public feelings, folkways, local interesting, folk music and other conditions get function.
