Al-Si/SiC Metal Matrix Composites Produced by Spontaneous infiltration Anne Zulfia Department of Metallurgy and Materials, Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia, Kampus Baru UI, Depok 16424, Indonesia E-mail : anne@metal.ui.ac.id Key words : Al-Si, SiC, externally doped, metal matrix composites Abstract: Aluminium Silicon reinforced with 50Vf% SiC has been produced by spontaneous infiltration at 900oC for 1 hour.
The percentage of porosity present in all the composites studied in this work seems to be influenced by Si content for both external and internal doped system and independent of the volume fraction, a prominent parameter in the evaluation of composite materials.

With MPI/Cool module, the influences of cooling pipe which includes clapboard pipe, flow passage pipe and coupling hose , of glutting, of a variety of mold materials, of cold runner and hot runner ,of the parting plane ,of the mold boundary on the mold and products' temperature can be simulated , thereby a reliable basis is provided for the optimization of the cooling system [2] . 2.1 The Effect of MPI/Cool analysis By analyzing the heat transfer of mold, products and cooling system, MPI/Cool provides rich simulation results.
One way to get the accurate and stable dimension of mold cavity is to use molding material with small shrinkage; however, the cost will be inevitably higher in this way.
The development cycle of mold is significantly shortened, a lot of manpower and material resources are saved, production costs are reduced and product quality is improved.

Especially photocatalyst is a very useful for environmental improvements and purifications, because it causes some reactions of decomposition of harmful organic materials.
Titanium sheet (10 mm × 20 mm × 0.4mm, Nilaco Co., Ltd.) was used as a substrate material.
And we adopted the commercial N-doped titanium oxide (Ecodevice Co Ltd.) and the commercial anatase (Ishihara Sangyo, Ltd.) as a reference material.

Introduction Proper characteristics of particle shape is very useful for a better understanding of the complex properties of particle material in different fields of science and industry, such as civil engineering and geology, pharmacy, mechanics or geophysics.
Materials and Methods Six quartz particles from rocks of different origin were selected for the analysis; the particles distinctly differed visually in their sphericity.

Introduction Lignin is a natural macromolecular material in the presence of a large number of natures and is the second only to carbohydrate in nature.
Lignin extraction is widely used in the oil industry, cement and concrete industry, polymer materials, agricultural and pharmaceutical printing and dyeing industry [3].
Materials and methods Materials.
The changes of precipitation ash content is almost in common only added alkali, with the increase of alkali, after pH≤11, the complex compound that make ligninsulfonic acid precipitation is the same material.
