The hydrothermal synthesis and photocatalysis of TiO2 powders Li ming Jiang Chemistry Center, Harbin University of Commerce, Harbin 150076,China Jlm.032349@yahoo.com.cn Key words: titania; hydrothermal synthesis; photocatalysis Abstract: Titania powders were prepared under hydrothermal conditions by employing organic molecule β-cyclodextrin(CD) as template, and characterized by means of TGA, XRD, BET .
The results showed that titania powders were anatase structure;the titania powders with specific surface area up to 216.2 m2g-1 were prepared while the system pH was about 1 , and the powders had the best photocatalytic activity.
Introduction In recent years, TiO2 materials with high specific surface area due to the developed pore structure, adjustable pore size within a certain range, easy modification of material structure , are widely used in the field of photocatalysis and photoelectric conversion.
First of all, the β-CD assembled with hydrogen bonds, and then hydrogen and hydroxyl which were original from the hydrolysis of inorganic phase formed porous structure .
XRD results showed that the samples TiO2 powder with anatase structure was successfully obtained.TGA results showed that β-cyclodextrin can be completely removed under calcined at 350 ℃ for 4 h.

This study is mainly focused on the study of pore size and shape, fibre diameter and also on the optimization of polymer solution composition and electrospinning parameters with respect to the final structure and morphology of PLA nano/microfibrous layers.
Variations in technological process allows us to design the shape and form of nanofibrous structures upon request.
Evaluation of the structure The surface of the PLLA micro/nanofibers was assessed by the usage of the image analysis of HR-SEM images.The detail of the individual porous microfiber is shown in Fig. 2.

The morphology, structure and chemistry of the oxide products formed on the oxidized samples were examined by means of XRD (Philips X'Pert Pro) and SEM-EDS (JEOL JSM-5400) analysis.
In the case of uncoated steel oxidized in the Ar-H2-H2O gas mixture, the main oxidation product was a thin chromia layer in the form of ridges due to the influence of hydrogen on the defect structure in chromia scale [9].
The TEM investigations showed that this film contains grains of spherical shape of about 350-1600 nm in diameter with an orthorhombic structure, as confirmed by SAD analysis.
The cross-sectional SEM-EDS investigations of the Fe-25Cr steel coated with the above mentioned films after oxidation in different atmospheres revealed that the reaction zone at the metal/substrate interface may have a multilayer structure, depending on the coating material.
