Materials and Methods This study was carried out based on the hypothesis that all the accident vehicles have been installed automatic braking systems, the vehicle-based sensor was installed in front center of vehicle, when the sensor detected pedestrians with a given field of view and drivers did not braked, automatic braking system is activated one second (0.5 second) prior to the real collision.
