Abstract.
TSA has more deterioration to all cement-based material than conventional sulfate attack because its target is C-S-H gel.
Cement-based material containing limestone is more susceptible to TSA.
Two bands with frequencies at 670, 499 cm-1 can be observed in 0-1mm layer, which are characteristic of the octahedral [SiO6] groups and indicates the presence of thaumasite because thaumasite is the only mineral containing Si in octahedral coordination[11] in all cement-based materials.
Acknowledgements Financial supports of National Natural Science Foundation of China (51109073), Technology Development project of Northern Jiangsu (BC2013459), and Construction Plan for Science and Technology Infrastructure of Jiangsu Province (BM2013046) are highly appreciated.

Abstract.
To analyse the influence of different materials and production parameters on the VHCF fatigue strength of helical compression springs, a project was initiated at the Institute for Materials Technology at the Technische Universität Darmstadt [2].
By adjusting production parameters, the reliability of helical compression springs can be improved for a very high number of cycles even for cost-efficient spring wire materials.

Radiation alters the physical properties of materials, such as electro-conductivity, deformation, mechanical properties, etc.
Internal nuclear reactions are totally excluded, and the phenomena related to the generation of Helium in irradiated materials and other the fission products; iii.
For materials in which the diffraction patterns show clear signs of textures, they slowly begin to disappear as a result of radiation. 5.

In text books of metallurgy or materials science this condition is illustrated as the origin of a plane which divides the area below the c(x) curve into two equal parts, an equivalent drawing can also be found in Matano’s paper (see Fig. 5b).
Often expressions found in textbooks of metallurgy or materials science concerning the “Matano plane” are misleading or simply wrong, as they do not correctly refer to the original paper by Matano.
In this sense, cleverly designed diffusion experiments in supercooled liquids might lead to new frontiers in materials science.

The results also indicate that the stress redistributions of the hoops and the concrete sections are obvious, and long-lasting when specimens achieve the ultimate bearing capacity after the yield of the rebar and local damage of concrete materials, at this time the strain of the specimens develops a lot, especially stress - strain curves of specimens with high-strength hoop all show a wide and flat top.
