For colleges of arts and sciences, teaching undergraduates shall be the benchmark of success.
Since colleges of arts and science may help create favorable comprehensive scholarship atmosphere which may further contribute to the cross-disciplinary research, they may, while keeping line with the teaching-based orientation, engage in some special academic research, especially the cross-disciplinary research.
Though there may be some sporadic academic researches for community colleges, they basically focus on exploring the relationship between teaching and learning on a small scale because of some objective limitation of workload, financial support and other material conditions.
As a cooperative program between the university and the municipal government, Qingdao Development and Research Center was established to conduct research on the problems facing by the local community in its development, with a journal Qingdao Development Research to voice their suggestions.
Its Department of Life Science takes the advantage of the locality to research and develop relevant advantageous projects which have benefited more than one hundred fruit growers with the annual production value of one hundred million yuan.

So, it is increasingly important to achieve sustainability of the city buildings and the urban water systems, through limiting water supply and consumption, through reducing material use, cost, energy consumption and environmental impact, and so on[1-3].Green building has now become a flagship of sustainable development in this century that takes the responsibility for balancing long-term economic, environmental and social health[4,5].

Currently, most materials containing DBP are disposed of with other municipal solid waste (MSW) by landfill.
Microbes in refuse are the principal participants in organic materials degradation.
Materials and Methods Tested Refuse.
This may indicate that the organic materials biodegradation was enhanced by methanogens when the bioreactor landfill changed from the acidic phase to the methanogenic phase.
The landfill environment was still acidic on day 90 (Fig. 2), during which time the organic materials in the refuse were hydrolyzed, fermented continuously and produced various organic acids.

Materials and preparation of samples For the production of test bodies, the composition of quartz sand and FBCFA was used as a source of siliceous materials, while 20 percent of weight of sand was replaced by FBCFA.
Basic chemical composition of the raw materials is displayed in Table 1.

Materials have first been scanned with an optical and electron microscope to determine average fibre properties and their scatter.
Both materials, matrix and fibres, are treated as perfectly elastic.
To apply GMC, precise data about input materials have to be known, which can be a problem with natural fibres.
The same mixtures of materials as in previous experiment were used.

In the rural environment of eastern Turkey, buildings are mostly built by the owner as masonry structures with materials that can be obtained locally.
The builder-owner uses low-strength materials such as adobe brick, clay brick, rubble stone, round timber logs, earth roof filling, and mud mortar; with the primary concern being cost, rather than seismic loads.
In the last decade, even though people in rural areas of the region began to use non-local materials, such as concrete and aluminium, they still build their units with structural faults due to a lack of knowledge [19,20].
The main reasons behind this result rely upon the structural faults in buildings and low quality materials used in constructions regardless to meeting the requirements in law.
