On the basis of «gasphase-solidphase» model it is possible to offer the following measures concerning performance improvement of ore reduction in the solid state:
– to increase the porosity and surface area of ore materials due to preliminary grinding and production of ore-coal briquettes;
– to use the coke and coal that are rich in hydrocarbons;
– to increase the height of furnace shaft for more complete usage of gas phase reducibility;
– to use plasmotron for carbon-content radical concentration increasing in gas phase.

Finite element model of damage analysis of jointed rock mass
Damage mechanics is to study the damage of material and the developing process of the damage.
Firstly it was used to study metal creep, and then various static failure, fatigue, and later it has been applied to study the mechanical properties of brittle material such as concrete, rock, etc.
Macroscopic damage theory considers the material included various defects as one kinds of continuous medium including micro-damage field, and regards the formation, development and coalescence of the micro-damage as a process of damage evolution.
It illustrates the continuous and damaging medium through damage variable, takes damage as part of microstructure of material, and investigates it through continuous medium.

Among the alloplastic bone-graft materials, hydroxyapatite and tricalcium phosphate has been received much attention since the mineral phase of the hard tissue has been identified by XRD as having an apatite structure, idealized as calcium hydroxyapatite.
Calcium phosphate glass obtained from the system CaO-P2O5-Al2O3 was firstly developed as a dental crown material since it is easily fused and has a low viscosity in the molten state.
This material can be expected to extend application field to biomaterials for hard tissue repair because of excellent bioactivity and great biodegradation rate.
