Much efforts are being devoted on the development of armor materials which can provide greater ballistic protection.
Amongst all materials, ultra high strength steels (UHSS) are the most extensively used metallic armor today.
Materials and Experimental Details The steel alloy was processed by melting in 20 tons Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), and followed by Ladle Furnace (LF) treatment for secondary refining.

The other way is to use lightweight materials, such as magnesium.
Material Properties of Magnesium AZ31 Sheet Metal Fig. 1 shows the material composition and the initial structure of the investigated magnesium AZ31 magnesium alloy.
Investigations show that the material recrystallizes during the forming process.
Conclusion This paper discussed the material properties of magnesium AZ31 sheet metal and magnesium AZ31 tubes.

This model base consists of ability damage assessment model, damage assessment model of damage control system, the calculation model of the afloat condition and stability, the calculation model of the maximum diameter of the breach that the crew can stem, the calculation mode of the flooding quantity of breach, the calculation model of the number of support column, the calculation model of drainage quantity, the calculation model of the maximum diameter of the breach that the crew can stem when all the drainage materials available are used, the calculation model of the area of water plane, the anti-flooding plan formation model, the selection model of the optimal anti-flooding plan and the optimal distribution model of the anti-flooding resource
The examples of this knowledge base are given as follows: : IF the diameter of the breach is smaller than the maximum diameter of the breach that the crew can stem AND the flood protection materials are not damaged THEN stem the breach and make use of all the drainage appliances available to drain seawater
The results of this example contain the cabins that can be used to balance the hull and increase the reserve buoyancy, the number of the support columns in every cabin needed to be supported, the optimal cabins that can be used to balance the hull and increase the reserve buoyancy, the anti-flooding materials needed, the anti-flooding crew needed, the recovery time needed, the probability of the success of recovery work. 6 Conclusions Based on the design of the frame work of intelligent decision support system in the damage control of damaged ship, the human-computer interaction subsystem, the database management subsystem, the model base management subsystem and the knowledge base management system of this system are introduced.

Introduction Machining processes shape parts by removing unwanted materials [1].
Theoretically, efficient high-performance machining is achieved by maximizing the material removal rate.
The software was developed by Professor Dong Woo Cho, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Pohang University of Science & Technology, South Korea.
The geometry of the set workpiece is shown in Fig. 1a; the material of the workpiece was Aluminum 6061.

Main parameters to be considered are related with both geometry and materials properties [6-13].
Physical properties of different materials used in the fabrication of sun point collector and flat plate collector are given in the table 2 as below.
Table 2 Properties of different materials used in sun point collector and flat plate collector Materials Thermal Conductivity {W/ (m K)} Reflectivity (%) Absorptivity (%) Transmitivity Emissivity Copper 385 - 401 92 - 94 93 - 0.07 Aluminium 204 - 250 80 10-40 - 0.05 Acrylic Sheet 0.17 – 0.2 4 50 92 0.94 Wood 0.04 – 0.17 - - - 0.9 Glass Wool 0.04 97 80 - 0.8 Chrome Paint - 5 87 91 0.09 4.
It is also observed that these values may however, be improved by using advanced focusing techniques like two axis via internal microprocessor, better materials and good bonding methods. 7.
