Materials and methods Spirodela polyrrhiza was collected from an anoxic pond in Nanshan sewage treatment plant (NST) in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, China.

This shows that edible film has the potential to be a food packaging material, especially for oyster mushrooms, by utilizing materials available in nature [5].
However, the Hawthorn plant is a medicinal plant that is rarely found in Indonesia [6], so other alternative materials are needed that can be used as basic ingredients for making edible films.
Experimental Materials and apparatus.
The materials used are kepok banana peel, corn starch (brand name "Maizenaku"), ZnO; glycerol; sorbitol; sodium metabisulfite (with brand name “Sentra Chemicals”), technical acetic acid, silica gel, NaCl, and distilled water.
