But the present higher engineering education could barely meet the need of engineering and industrial modernization and informatization.
There is a very shortage of engineering application talents.
So local engineering colleges are stuck in a very awkward situation.
Teachers' engineering application ability is the key to improving the quality of students To train the students' application ability, a teacher must own the engineering background and engineering consciousness.
At last so we can construct a training model of engineering application talents(Fig.1), and clarify the internal logical relationship of the training of engineering application talents in all aspects in local engineering colleges and universities.
