Abstract: Grinding is often used as the final manufacturing method which is an important processing method. Its’ quality of parts surface will directly affect the life and strength of mechanical parts. Therefore, the quality of parts surface in grinding is particularly important to mechanical parts. In this paper, after the simplification of theoretical model of the parts, we can use software such as WORKBENCH and MATLAB to obtain the temperature field of grinding and numerical simulation in case of 45# steel. Subsequently, it also makes use of LS-DYNA to carry out micro-morphology’s simulation in the process of grinding. Then it can significantly verify the previous simulation’s results. We preliminarily obtain the mechanism of the grinding burn on parts surface. It also shows the concrete impact on temperature field with the changing of grinding parameters. Finally we can receive the method to minimize the grinding burn.

Abstract: To meet the requirements of super-high speed vitrified bond of CBN grinding wheel that should be low-melting, high strength and multi-foams, performance of nano-ceramic bond were researched in this paper. Four types of bond which major glass components was R2O+RO-B2O3- -Al2O3-SiO2 have been compounded with pure raw chemical materials. In order to improve the strength of bond, nano-materials were added into formulations of the vitrified bond. And experiments results showed that compared with traditional vitrified bond the new nano-ceramic bond had a significant advantage at its refractoriness, expansion coefficient, surface morphology and bending strength. Especially, the bending strength of 4# nano-ceramic bond had reached to 83.75 MPa and its refractoriness was 790 °C. It proved that 4# nano-ceramic bond was more suitable for super-high speed CBN grinding wheel.

Abstract: In order to analyze accurately the dynamic characteristics of Linear Rolling Guide during the design stage, the Linear Rolling Guide that springs and damping units imitate joints is simulated by finite element methods in this paper. The proposed method can predict the regular pattern which joint stiffness and joint span affect natural frequency and harmonic response. The research demonstrates that the method predicts well the dynamic characteristics of the Linear Rolling Guide; therefore, it can be a reference for dynamic optimization design of Linear Rolling Guide in turn-milling center.

Abstract: According to the practical requirements of collaboration and document management in enterprises, the paper presents the methods of products of electronic document management, automation and networking to ensure product data integrity, unity, sharing and security, and does the research on key points of architecture, version management and electronic countersignature of collaborative design oriented document management. Besides, based on the theoretical study, a prototype system of collaborative design oriented electronic document management is developed. The operated results of the system verify the correctness of theoretical research and technical feasibility.

Abstract: This paper analyzes the characteristics of supplier selection base on network manufacturing environment. The requirements of supplier evaluation and selection function of the system were analyzed too. Supplier evaluation and selection of system architecture and workflow was studied oriented networked manufacturing environment. Base on the theoretical study a prototype system was developed and the main function modules were introduced. This paper provides a theoretical and technical reference to develop efficient and practical supplier evaluation and selection system to meet the requirements of networked manufacturing.

Abstract: Aiming at uncertainty of process plans in the process decision making, the paper introduced a method based on ant colony optimization (ACO) to find out the set of optimal solutions for multi-objective machine tool selection. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was applied to simplify process decision making plans, and the structural diagram of AHP was made up according to the different demands of manufacturing engineer. By means of the examples the different elements to different manufacturing processes are comprehensive evaluated, and the most splendid process scheme is evaluated, meanwhile the feasibility of the proposed method applying process decision making is verified.

Abstract: According to problems of flatness error measurement of revolving body end-face, sampling method and evaluation method are studied in this paper. First, spiral sampling method is presented, in order to meet the needs of flatness error measurement sampling of revolving body end-face. Second, combined with least squares method, mathematical model applied to flatness error measurement evaluation of revolving body end-face is proposed. Finally, through the simulation, the mathematical model is proved to be correct.

Abstract: In order to analyze the motion characteristics of turn-milling center, it’s prototype is modeled and spiral motion is simulated and analyzed to get curves of displacement and velocity in forward kinematics and inverse kinematics. The rationality and applicability of mechanism design is verificated to provide the basis of fast optimized design of turn-milling center. So the method can forecast and improve before physical prototype manufacturing to ensure design feasibility and save development time.

Abstract: In this paper, we present the design and implementation of a VRML multi-user layer, which is introduced in the virtual reality platform. A novel 3D simulation system supporting tunnel boring machine (TBM) design is developed. The virtual environment (VE) of the TBM is established by VRML based on virtual reality technology, the 3D assembling model is built by Solidworks software and changed into the virtual environment by VRML format. The optimal method is put forward by three steps optimization data to realize transmission of network. The motion simulation and virtual assembly program for TBM are made by VRML/Java language with the movement simulation control function to realize motion simulation. It has the advantages of free installation, authenticity, interactivity, low-cost, portability, and low requiring for the clients and so on.

Abstract: To cope with the challenges of product quality design system applied in new product development (NPD), a new method of quality control for NPD-collaborative quality design mode, which integrates voice of customer, quality function deployment (QFD) and failure modes and effect analysis (FMEA) , and corresponding functional modules and framework were all put forward. This mode dealt mainly with constructing and running collaborative quality design system, integrated several enabling technologies such as the integration of QFD and FMEA, task distribution of quality design, integrated technology of computer-supported-collaborative work (CSCW). On the basis of these, applying Java, JSP and JavaServlet to the system, improve working efficiency and shorten the development cycle so as to respond to the fluctuation of market demands as quick as possible. The quality design of some automobile was introduced as an example to verify that the system developed would efficiently meet the requirements of NPD.
