Description: This volume contains the selected papers presented to the 2019 Research, Invention, and Innovation Congress (RI2C 2019) held in Bangkok, Thailand from December 11 – 13, 2019. The collection reflects recent advances in the field of applied materials science, materials processing, building materials, applied chemistry, and technologies of chemical production. This collection will be useful for many scientists and engineers whose activity is related to industrial production.
Edited by: Prof. Mosbah Zidani, Dr. Hichem Farh and Djamel MIROUD
Online since: September 2019
Description: In the field of engineering, the ability of a finished part to fulfil its function in the intended application is closely related to properties of materials for its production. The development of new high-technology structural materials, adapted to each new application, requires knowledge of base matter properties, the regularity of changes in its microstructure and properties during processing. This volume contains results of research of the microstructures of materials, methods by which the latter are worked, the effect of interactions at the interfaces for multi-materials and how structure determines their final properties.

Online since: September 2011
Description: The main theme of this special collection was that of materials properties and testing techniques, and covered most aspects of testing techniques as applied to the mechanical, chemical, physical properties and microstructures of ceramics, glasses and concrete. The book will be a worthy adjunct to the library of every testing laboratory
Edited by: M. Munawar Chaudhri
Online since: November 2010
Description: Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters CPCI-S (WoS).
This work comprises eight contributions from leading experts on the topic of the mechanical behaviour of materials. The research themes described in this special volume range from surface forces, surface energies and adhesion to the indentation and nano-indentation of solids and fracture waves in glasses to spectroscopic studies of biological cells.
Edited by: D.R. Mumm, M. Walter, O. Popoola and W.O. Soboyejo
Online since: January 2001
Description: This book presents ten chapters on the science and engineering of durable surfaces. The first section focusses on various types of surfaces and advanced coating processes, while the second part concentrates particularly on thermal barrier coatings. The book covers both, in-depth state-of-the-art reviews as well as cutting-edge new information emerging from ongoing research:

Online since: September 1995
Description: The objective of the present publication is to discuss various aspects relevant to the interface of ceramics from a number of standpoints that should as distinct as possible.
Edited by: B.C. Muddle
Online since: July 1995
Description: The term "interface" means different things structurally, according to the materials involved and their thermal and mechanical history. Moreover, an adequate description of an interface may vary considerably, according to the property being related to it.
