In this edition, the selected full-text papers from the 5th International Conference and Exhibition on Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology (PST 2022) are presented. The conference is devoted to the latest technology and innovation in pharmaceutical sciences and technology - from fundamental studies to real experimental research and applications. This edition will be useful to specialists in biomedicine and pharmacology.
The main focuses collection of 184 peer reviewed papers was to cover all aspects of materials, including advanced and functional materials, composites and applications, green and biomaterials, smart and intelligent materials and structures, processing and engineering of materials, natural and synthetic fiber composites and materials for specific applications.
The papers are grouped as follows:
I. Advanced Composites and their Applications;
II. Bio-materials and Biomimetic Materials;
III. Intelligent Processing of Materials and Structures;
IV. Nano-Materials, -Sensors and –Actuators;
V. Engineering and Structural Materials;
VI. Smart Materials and Structures;
VII. Tribology (Surface Engineering);
VIII. Materials for Fuel Cells and Solar Cells;
IX. Natural Fiber Composites;
X. Synthetic Fiber Composites;
XI. Construction and Building Materials;
XII. Soft Materials;
XIII. Functional Materials;
XIV. Materials Processing, Modeling and Technology;
XV. Green Materials;
XVI. Others.
These proceedings bring together the invited and contributed articles presented at Chiang Mai International Conference on Biomaterials & Applications (CMICBA 2011). The main emphasis of the conference was placed on (a) biomaterials science and related disciplines, including mathematics, physics, biology and chemistry, in conjunction with (b) applications of biomaterials in areas such as life sciences, cosmetics, agriculture and the environment.
The aim of this special volume is, as the title indicates, to point out the great power of electrochemistry and other physico-chemical methods (SEM, AFM, chemiluminescence, MOCVD, FT-IR, UV-VIS-NIR, X-Ray etc.) in obtaining and characterizing advanced materials.
