The present collection of papers from 12th International Conference „Local Mechanical Properties“ which was held on November 04.- 06.2015 in Liberec, Czech Republic presents current publications of conference participants from several countries .
Besides the traditional research in area of mechanical properties of different metallic materials, composites, polymers was focused attention also on research of thin layers and nanomaterials. The significant potential of application of these new materials significantly affects on research activities of academia. Future application of innovative materials in different areas of human activities, already requires from researchers the definition of materials properties on atomic level. Conference by its content contributed to the deepening of knowledge about the internal structure of various materials, their mechanical and tribological properties.
2016 International Conference on Composite Materials and Material Engineering took place in Bangkok, Thailand during March 9-11, 2016.
ICCMME 2016 aims to bring together researchers, scientists, developers, and engineers from around the world in both industry and academia for sharing state-of-art research results, for exploring new areas of research and development, and to discuss emerging issues in the fields of composite materials and material engineering, It provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new thoughts and application experiences, to establish business or research relations and to find global partners for possible future collaboration, and also it helps expanding the delegates’ knowledge and insight into the significant challenges currently being addressed in the related fields.Presented collection is covering the wide spectrum of engineering decisions in area of creating and research of modern functional materials and technologies and it will be useful for researchers and practical engineers.
Collection of selected, peer reviewed papers from various areas of wood processing - chemical processing of wood and plant biomass, processes for the production of broadcast materials, hydrothermal processes and environmental issues, shows a varied range of possibilities in the exploitation and processing of wood and their interdependence. The publication should serve as inspiration for science, research, education and practice for finding the comprehensive approach to tackle the issue. The unilateral approach often tempts to distort the perception of such complex issues as efficient exploitation of wood. Multilateral understanding of the issues can contribute to the discovery and implementation of modern original practices in the processing of wood.
