This "Journal of Nano Research" issue collects peer-reviewed articles reflecting the scientific and engineering research results in the synthesis methods, properties analysis, and application methods of nanomaterials and nanoparticles to solve a wide range of engineering objectives. The solutions presented will be practical in machinery and chemical production, environmental protection, medicine, electrochemical water splitting for hydrogen synthesis and more.
The edition presents the research results and technological developments in synthesis materials and the creation of technologies for environmental protection and waste treatment, materials for oil recovery application, advanced composites, and methods the fatigue damage assessment of materials and structural construction elements.
This volume contains papers presented at the 12th International Conference on Materials and Manufacturing Technologies (ICMMT 2021) was held online during April 23-26, 2021, which is expected to be held annually. The topics covered in the collection are in the major areas of materials science and materials processing technologies: nanomaterials, polymers and composites, materials for energy storage and electrotechnical application, technologies and materials for waste treatment, technologies of structural metals processing, building materials.
This Special Topic Volume constitutes the contributions of thirty-nine experts from the international scientific community who are involved in this field of research. It covers thoroughly some of the latest applications of polymers and nano-materials to solar-cells, fuel cells, catalysis, coatings, ion-exchange and sensors. It presents an up-to-date and in-depth coverage of the chemistry, physics, materials science and engineering applications of polymers and nano-materials. This remarkable cooperation of distinguished experts has resulted in a comprehensive review of the subject.
This book deals with the chemical and electrochemical reactivity of novel materials in various environments. Special emphasis is put on metastable materials such as amorphous and nanostructured materials including carbon nanostructures and the novel bulk metallic glasses. Properties include corrosion resistance, electrochemical and catalytic activities, hydrogen sorption properties etc. The materials are made by various non-equilibrium processes such as rapid-quenching, high energy ball milling and thin film deposition techniques. Hydrogen storage and new materials for Ni-MH batteries are topics of particular interest in this book.
