The Green Factories in Bavaria bundle up the research skills of all relevant fields for energy efficient production, e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Processing Technologies, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Process Engineering, Materials Science and Economic Science. They also consider all major types of energy, e.g. for motion, illumination, information processing, manufacturing processes and thermal control. Furthermore, Green Factories address the use of energy in production, logistics and administration. With clear focus on energy efficiency in the production and Bavarian-wide, interdisciplinary collaboration, these Green Factories have to be expanded into an international research network. We hope that presented articles from 3rd Green Factory Bavaria Colloquium 2016 will be useful for many researchers and engineers for the development and operation of modern energy-efficient productions.
The 6th KKU International Engineering Conference 2016 (KKU-IENC 2016) was held 3-5th August , 2016 in Khon Kean, Thailand and was focused on the applied materials and related technologies for different areas of human activity. All presented papers were rigorously peer-reviewed. We hope this collection will be useful for wide range of scientists and engineers.
Presented results of scientific and engineering research could be useful for engineers, students and academics from various fields of applied materials science.
This special issue is the proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Advanced Micro-Device Engineering (AMDE 2014) organized by the Human Resource Cultivation Center, Gunma University, held on 5 December 2014 in Kiryu, Japan. Scopes of this proceedings are advanced materials, nanomaterials and technologies, electronics, microelectronics, photonics, biomedical engineering and some technologies of measurements in engineering.
