The issue summarizes 22 selected papers of the XII international conference Baltic Polymer Symposium 2012, held in Liepaja, Latvia, from 19-22 of September, 2012. Since 2001 the event is annually organized by technical universities of the three Baltic States. Baltic Polymer Symposium 2012 in Liepāja was visited by participants not only from the three Baltic States, but also by participants from Taiwan, Germany, Finland, United Kingdom, Poland, Ukraine and Russia. The scope of the proceedings comprises all aspects of modern polymers science: synthesis, processing, recycling, composites, nanotechnologies etc.
Selected, peer reviewed papers from the 3rd
International Conference on Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering 2012,
November 20 – 21, 2012, Malaysia. The conference offers
a platform for researchers, academicians, technologist, policy makers,
industrialists and students to share, discuss and highlight their research
findings particularly works that related to research and technological
developments and knowledge transfers keeping in mind the main theme
Sustainable Engineering towards Green Technology
Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters CPCI-S (WoS).
These 19 peer-reviewed papers cover emerging topics in Advanced Materials (e.g.: polymer composites, nanocomposites, ceramics, thin-film coatings and shape-memory alloys) and thus offer an unique insight into current progress.
Significant advances in materials technology have been made in recent years, by both university and industrial research laboratories. It is of great importance that there should be free transfer of information and technology between the research laboratory, industry, and marketplace. Such transfer and dissemination is promoted by Frontiers for Engineering Materials.
