This volume presents papers on mathematical modelling of magnetohydrodynamic flow and heat transfer in an electro-conductive polymer, as well as numerical analysis of heat transfer through nanofluid flow in different media, including porous media. Additionally, the study of multi-phase flow in a pipeline has been presented, which can be positively addressed in such key branch as the oil and gas industry. Besides, the volume is devoted to numerical analysis to assess the cooling hole's performance embedded in different trenched designs (triangular trench, semi-cylindrical trench, and corrugated trench) for improving the film cooling efficiency over a flat plate. The presented results might find their application in various areas of engineering.
The 121 papers are grouped as follows:
Chapter 1: Applied Mechanics and Engineering Methods;
Chapter 2: Materials Science and Applications, Materials Processing Technology;
Chapter 3: Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies;
Chapter 4: CAD Applications for Materials and Manufacturing, Networks, Information Technologies and Software Applications.
The aim of this special collection is to present recent progress made, and reflect current ideas, in research fields where positron and positronium are involved. The contents cover a wide range of positron-related research topics; including both fundamental (theoretical calculations, radiation chemistry, hyperfine interactions, positronium physics and chemistry) and applied (metal, polymer, thin film and other materials, development of experimental techniques) aspects.
