Description: Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters BCI (WoS).
This volume is a collecting scientific results of several researchers in the fields of prediction and handling of interactions between structure and process. Research programs have the primary objective analysis of the interactions between processes and structures in modern production facilities. This book presents the results of several interdisciplinary projects, focusing on different manufacturing processes such as high speed machining or metals forming. It contains experimental studies and mathematical modeling of production processes and the interactions of the machine. New advanced experimental and innovative simulation approaches are also included.

Description: This work contains the proceedings of the 14th International Conference on Sheet Metal, held in Leuven, Belgium, from the 18th to the 20th April, 2011.
Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters CPCI-S (WoS).
The objective of the International Conferences on Sheet Metal is to provide a forum where researchers, academics and industrialists can discuss and promote both the early dissemination of research results, and technology-transfer in sheet-metal processing. The conference provides an opportunity for those working on experimental research, as well as those involved in analytical and numerical modeling, to present their work. The contents therefore provide an unequalled overview of the field.

Description: During the past twenty years, digital design and manufacturing technology has become indispensable in many and various applications world-wide; involving many products and rapidly expanding markets. It has not only provided industry with new methods, tools and digitalized products - from design, materials processing to operating and management procedures - but is also changing the approaches, thinking patterns and working environments of people in the manufacturing field.
The rapid growth of digital design and manufacturing processes has also brought with it some processing work-flow challenges. While the various resultant products provide an ideal solution for some processing steps, more dedicated and integrated systems are sometimes required. How best can one handle incoming data and orders, automate the design and perhaps engineering, make robust plans, manage the process and data and deliver quality goods.
