This volume of the "Journal of Nano Research" has been collected from the peer-reviewed articles reflecting the practical research results in the synthesis and properties analysis of nanomaterials and nanostructures for various cases of industrial and technical applications. The research results will find practical use in micro- and optoelectronics, chemical production, technologies of wastewater treatment, nanomechatronics, and biomedicine.
Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters CPCI-S (WoS).
The 138 papers are grouped as follows:
Chapter 1: Material Science;
Chapter 2: Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies, Ceramic Engineering;
Chapter 3: Building Materials and Their Applications, Housing;
Chapter 4: Construction Dynamics, Strength and Stress, Fatigue and Damage Analysis, Applied Mechanics;
Chapter 5: Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Machining and Processing, Welding and Joint Technologies;
Chapter 6: Tribology, Automotive and Vehicle Engineering;
Chapter 7: Photovoltaic and Solar Energy Engineering;
Chapter 8: Computer Technologies in Manufacturing, Simulation Technology, CAD and Software Applications.
The focus of this special collection was set on materials properties and testing techniques, it covers most aspects of testing techniques on mechanical, chemical, physical properties and microstructures of ceramics, glass and concrete. It is hoped the collection will promoted the research and development in the field of testing and evaluation of inorganic materials.
The proceedings of the 24th annual meeting of the International Society for Ceramics in Medicine (Bioceramics 24), held in Japan, comprise 133 peer-reviewed papers arranged into 13 chapters: I. Advanced Calcium Phosphate Ceramics; II. Porous Materials; III. Cements; IV. Coatings; V. in vivo Studies and Clinical Application; VI. Cell Studies and Cell-Material Interactions; VII. Composites; VIII. Drug Delivery Carriers; IX. Dental Materials; X. Metals; XI. Zirconia and Alumina Ceramics; XII. Nano-Materials; XIII. Sol-Gel Synthesis and Other Materials. They will be of great help in exploiting the merits of ceramics and in overcoming their weakness in applications involving polymers and metals.
