Review from Ringgold Inc., ProtoView: The 82 papers presented during the September 2012 conference are divided into nine sections on construction, electrical systems, information and communication technology, manufacturing equipment, material processing, oil production, renewable energy, and water supplies. The first five articles, all written at the Nigerian University of Agriculture, evaluate groundnut shell ash stabilized reclaimed asphalt pavement as a highway pavement material, the properties of lateritic soil blended with glass cullet, and soil modified with calcium carbide waste. Four papers from the University of Benin investigate a drilling fluid made from rubber seed oil, the factors affecting water breakthrough time in a horizontal well, and type curves for a reservoir subject to active bottom water drive.
