Review from Ringgold Inc., ProtoView:
This is a selection of peer reviewed papers from the First Green Factory Colloquium in 2014 in Nuremberg, Germany. The five papers in the first chapter discuss "Sustainable Manufacturing Strategies." The five papers in Chapter 2 are under the title of "Energy Measuring Systems." Chapter 3, "Energy Efficient Process Technologies," also is comprised of five papers. The papers are self-contained, without further organization or commentary. A sample of topics includes: life cycle assessment tool in early product development; a method for assessment and evaluation of energy efficiency in manufacturing processes; development of an adjustable measuring system for electrical consumption in production; a standardized approach to planning energy costs in automotive production; energy efficient manufacturing of lightweight products illustrated by structural optimization of an automatic knife cutting system; and the influence of temperature and wavelength on optical behavior of copper alloys.
