Review from Ringgold Inc., ProtoView:
Three thick volumes (each is about 900 pages) represent the December 2010 conference that goes by the acronym ICMEA (International Conference on Manufacturing Engineering and Automation). An estimated 600 papers are presented, published here in advance of the conference. General themes addressed include, in volume 1: nanomaterials, composites, materials characterization, coatings and surface engineering, materials forming, novel material fabrication, high-speed precision machining, and bionic mechanisms and bio-manufacturing. The second volume contains papers on modeling, analysis, and simulation of manufacturing processes; CAD/CAM/CNC; virtual manufacturing and concurrent engineering; green design and manufacturing; digital and agile manufacturing; nano fabrication and MEMS; mechatronics; logistics and supply chain; and intelligent controllers. Volume 3 is devoted to industrial automation and process control, virtual instrumentation in automation, measurement and machine vision systems, and industrial robots and automation, among other topics. The keyword index will help guide readers. Distributed in the US by Enfield.
