Review from Ringgold Inc., ProtoView: This is a selection of more than 60 papers from the 2014 International Conference on Local Mechanical Properties held in Slovakia. The conference was devoted to results of research in mechanical properties of materials from nano to micro/meso-scale in a wide range of materials. Papers in the first four chapters focus on: nanoindentation, mathematical simulation and modeling, measurement of properties of films and coatings, and biomaterials. The last, largest chapter consists mostly of papers on the use of mechanical properties as feedback for testing and optimization of preparation conditions; and standard techniques applied to less common systems and vice versa.

Ringgold Subjects:

— Engineering
— Materials science
— Nanomaterials
