Generating Diagonal Braces Used in Pergola and Pavilion Structures

Article Preview

Abstract:

The diagonal braces are integrated part from pergolas and pavilions and have both functional and decorative role. These may have different shapes and, simultaneously, may have distinct inner models. In this paper, the authors propose a method, easy to use, even for the non-programmers that gives the opportunity to build templates for different diagonal braces. The using of such templates gives the possibility to the users to give different dimensions, depending on the specific requirements, of a given diagonal brace. Furthermore, the authors presents a way which gives the opportunity to obtain a 3D model starting from such a template.
