Abstract:

With the rapid development of economy and society in China, numerous human activities, including water pollution, overfishing, irrigation, etc., have had a tremendous negative impact on aquatic ecosystems. Ecosystem integrity had also been damaged to some extent, and many problems cannot be effectively resolved by using traditional methods .The research of the causes of changing in water biotic integrity had important practical significance for the sustainable development of China's economy and society. Therefore, there has been a lot of attention on controlling and repairing of water pollution , biotic integrity maintaining in the actual production, The use of new methods , a variety of methods for water pollution combined with analysis, health assessment has also gained great progresses in recent years. This paper reviews the research progress in controlling and protecting water environment and maintaining biotic integrity.
