Research on Control Strategy of Grid-Side Inverter in Direct Drive Wind Power System

Article Preview

Abstract:

Aimed at the influence of grid power quality suffered from the wind turbine, a new control strategy for grid-side inverter of direct drive wind power is proposed, that is voltage loop is controlled by ADRC and current loop is controlled by PI controller. The simulation results show that the system with new control strategy has stronger robustness, better steady state and dynamic characteristics, compared with the traditional control strategy that is voltage and current loops are both controlled by PI controller. Obviously, grid-connected power quality has been improved.
