Analytical Solutions of Deformation for Temperature Dependent Functionally Graded Conical Shells

Article Preview

Abstract:

Based on classical linear theory of shell, the deformation of functionally graded truncated conical shell subjected to transverse mechanical load as well as non-uniformly thermal load is studied. In the analysis, material properties of the shell are assumed to be temperature dependent, and graded in the thickness direction according to a simple power law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents. And then obtain the exact solution of the problem in terms of Bessel functions by using analytic method.
