Product Information Representation Method for Product Conceptual Design Based on Improved Meta-Model

Article Preview

Abstract:

Product conceptual design is a problem-solving activity based on knowledge engineering. Information model of product conceptual design includes functional knowledge, effect knowledge, principle solution knowledge and their relationships. This paper is devoted to presenting a general product information processing method for product conceptual design based on improved meta-model. The representation of product function, domain, relationship, behavior, structure, property based on the above meta-model are proposed step by step. The methodology is obviously helpful for product innovation.
