Abstract: MBD (Model Based Definition) technology is a digital method of product definition which combines all information required for manufacturing into the 3D design model including annotation, processing description, attributes and management information. This advancement is a not only a change in media used in the design, manufacturing, inspection and management cycles of the product but also a disruptive reform in engineering-thinking. MBD technology defines a product completely without traditional engineering drawing which is challenging the engineering graphics education. Though MBD technology has not been fully tested or fully developed in all field, change and revolution in relative engineering education must be taken into consideration simultaneously. By comparing the traditional 2D and 3D representation methods with the MBD technology including geometric and non-geometric information of product, some suggestions are presented in contemporary engineering graphics education.

Abstract: According to the structure and environment of the spacecrafts, its necessary to have mechanical experiments on them. Besides, analysis models are also required. The combination of experiments and analysis is useful. Analysis can guide experiments ,which will lead to improve the accuracy of experiments. At the same time, the experiment data can be used to update the models. Nowadays, analysis softwares are lack of capacity in post-processing, and they cant complete the task of contrasting analysis and experiment data. This paper designs a system which is based on MSC.Patran , Oracle and Java to solve that problem.

Abstract: The differential is one of the key components of the car. It is a difficult process for differential shell to countersink and bore finely the I-typed hole. Combined with the compounded machine tool, precision countersink and fine boring process on the hole of differential shells was achieved under fixing once to reduce a number of clamping assembly error. It solved the fine-boring and countersinking processing problem of differential shell I-typed hole and improves processing efficiency and quality products.

Abstract: Compliant mechanism is a kind of new type mechanism and its analysis is very complex because flexible links often under large deflections which introduce geometry nonlinearities. A new model (2R PRBM) can simulate accurately both the deflection path and angle of the flexible link. A new dynamic model of compliant mechanism is developed using the 2R PRBM. The dynamic equation of planar compliant mechanism is derived. The dynamic analysis on the natural frequency of compliant mechanism is obtained in the example of a planar compliant parallel-guiding mechanism. The numerical results show the advantage of the proposed method for the dynamic analysis of compliant mechanisms.

Abstract: In this paper, we build a simulation model of the two stage flapper-nozzle electro hydraulic servovalve with the hydraulic component design libraries and the AMESet secondary development of modeling in AMESim simulation environment. By adjusting the parameters of the model, the performance of the servovalve were analyzed. At the same time, we can get the characteristic curve of the servovalve. These characteristic curves can describe the static and dynamic characteristics of the valve which can greatly guide for the study of the servovalve.
