Abstract: By using both parametric and non-parametric tests, noticed that both EI Nino and West African Wetness have significant impact on the number of storms. A Poisson Regression Model is then be used to further explores the impact of different variables to the number of storms. In particular, warm phase of EI Nino and dry weather has suppress impact on the number of storms while cold phase of Nino and wet weather encourage storms. Under the combination impact of both EI Nino and West African Wetness, the probability of occurrence of extreme storms is higher than under the other conditions.

Abstract: This article analyzed the situation of hazardous materials accidents and pointed the basic techniques a fighter dealing with hazardous materials accidents should possess. These techniques include knowledge about characteristics of hazardous chemicals accidents, techniques of on-site control, decontamination, personal protection, and some basic techniques of medical treatment psychological stress treatment. These techniques are sure to be useful to responders to hazardous materials accidents.

Abstract: Component removal method is usually taken to open up relief channel. It is necessary to make a research on the feasibility of removing and make an analysis on some problems. This paper summarized the typical collapsed buildings and the typical rescue technique used in Wenchuan earthquake. The numerical model of typical buildings collapsed was gotten . Based on the characteristics of the application of removing technique, a numerical analysis was made. The results show that the angle between the component and ground should not be changed. The direction in which the components are lifted should be in a moderate direction with other lap components .Try best to make its contact area produce some friction force.

Abstract: With the factor superposition method, we conduct a risk of landslide hazard zoning of Shaanxi province based on the detailed investigation of landslide disaster risk of there. Learn from the experience of past geological hazard zonation, we determine the geological hazard assessment criterion. At the same time, we establish the geological disaster evaluation index system through the analysis of the forming conditions and the influencing factors of landslide disaster. Then, we determine the weight of each index by using gold segmentation method. At last, we make the landslide of Shaanxi province in a four levels of risk division by using the comprehensive analysis of the factors superposition method.

Abstract: The thesis, based on the analysis of geological hazard, environment, and mechanism of hazard occurrence, accounting for the key factors of controlling disaster, and combining the object hazard damages to, proposed we should take a dynamic treatment of hazard according to the different hazard factors, and proposed reasonable methods to deal with these hazards, which exerts a good influence on the similar circumstances.

Abstract: To improve the ability of disaster prevention in urban-rural integration, the idea of establishing an urban-rural disaster prevention system with two lines of defense has been discussed in this paper. It also presents the framework of the system as well as the spatial mode of urban-rural disaster relief.

Abstract: There are numerous difficulties and risks in the construction of river-crossing tunnel of large-diameter metro. How to ensure the safety of the project and reduce the construction risk is the key issue requiring urgent solution. This paper, taking a project of constructing river-crossing tunnel of large-diameter metro as the research background, compared and selected the methods of constructing this river-crossing tunnel. Large-diameter slurry shield machine was recommended to conduct digging construction. Then, possible risks of the selected construction method were analyzed and summarized into two categories: risk concerning the project itself and environmental risk. Finally, corresponding measures to handle the risks were put forward.

Abstract: the use of wireless sensor networks for fire detection in the library environment is more effective compared to the wired network system, and is significant in save time and cost for the protection of document resources in the library. To implement the installation of WSNs in the library we design nodes that are capable of sensing fire as soon as it occurs and also propose algorithm to identify the location of fire. As the advance in WSNs technology, such new application will have a brilliant and promising future.

Abstract: For the sake of the quick judgment to the accurate lining damage degree and the research of its relationship to temperature scales and ablation times, residual compressive strength coefficient, burning rate of lining cross section and intact rate of lining cross section were firstly selected to be evaluative indexes. And then the damage degree of the lining was divided into 5 grades, that is, the higher the grade is, the more severe the lining damage is. The weight of the factors that affect damage degree of the lining concrete is calculated by AHP and the results’ accordance is tested to be good. Furthermore, the damage degree of the lining under several burning temperature scales and different burning times is obtained by grey comprehensive evaluation. The answer in this paper is accordance with that of paper 3,but it is more scientific and accurate.

Abstract: In this paper, the probability theory was applied in the stability analysis of a potential landslide, which is located at Lishan Mountain, China. By employing a cyclic loading ring shear apparatus, the geotechnical parameters in the stability analysis was measured under the testing conditions of simulating earthquake and heavy rainfall. Based on the calculation results, the failure probability as well as the stability of Lishan potential landslide was discussed. The results show that Lishan landslide is unstable under cyclic loading and become very dangerous to failure at the time of heavy rainfall.
