Abstract: The Qinhuai River, one of the most economically developed areas in China, is also one of the largest urban agglomerations in the world. Recently, rapid urbanization has caused great changes in the regional natural environment and processes of precipitation. Taking 6 precipitation stations for daily rainfall data from 1961-2006 and using statistical analysis, linear regression, R/S method, concentration ratio and concentration period, focusing on the effects of urbanization on the long term precipitation, comparing the annual precipitation, flood season precipitation, winter precipitation, storm rainfall days and precipitation days, rainfall concentration ratio and concentration period in urban and suburban gauges, this paper probes into the effect of urbanization on local precipitation. The results show that with the development of urbanization, the increasing trend of annual precipitation, flood season precipitation and storm rainfall days in urban areas is more than the suburban areas; the increasing speed of annual precipitation and flood season precipitation in urban area are 25.16 mm/10 a and 12.0 mm/10 a, while the suburb’s are 20.28 mm/10 a and 7.3 mm/10 a respectively. The difference of urban and suburban areas is increasing and the urban rain island effect is evident. The annual precipitation is usually concentrated in June and July, the precipitation concentration ratio is on the decline in urban and suburban areas, and the rate of decrease in suburban areas is slightly more than urban areas, the difference of urban and suburban areas is little.

Abstract: One of the most important developments in GIS technology is the ability to extend two-dimensional analytical functionality into the third dimension. The approach of modeling objects for three-dimensional (3D) descriptions of the real world has been very useful for some urban applications such as planning, construction, management and representation of the urban sceneries. 3D city model is basically a computerized model or digital model of a city. Normally 3D city model delivers a true picture and real scene of the ground and enable the planners to view the locations of services and real places in an intuitive and use-friendly way. And there are many useful applications of 3D city model in urban planning analysis, noise propagation simulations and flood simulations. Nowadays, 3D city models play a more and more important role in GIS.

Abstract: Urban planning refers to the division of areas functions of the city by the urban management department according to the demands of urban economic development strategies; it is the re-integration and re-distribution of urban resources. Urban planning arises from the needs of urban economic development, but restricts urban economic development to a large extent as well. Therefore, urban planning must take into account not only the city’s long-term interests but also the balance among population, resources and environment. However, the current situation of urban planning is worrisome, for phenomena like massive construction projects, land waste and resources over-exploitation, have occurred in big cities. Urban planning, therefore, must be integrated into environmental protection and sustainable development, seeking new ways of building a harmonious environment.

Abstract: By analyzing the formation and development of urban industry district and the industrial building heritages in Luoyang, this paper expounds the current problems and contradictions about the industrial building heritages protection and utilization in urban construction and development process. Aiming at these problems, some suggestions about the protection and reuse of industrial building heritages are put forward, in order to perserve and utilize them well.

Abstract: This article based on the core view of "people-oriented", firstly, analyzes the living conditions and spiritual state of villagers through the past centralized resettlement areas; secondly, from the perspective of site-selection, layout and environment, etc, approaches that resettlement area construction should follow the design idea of people-oriented; from the angle of spatial planning of populated life, should emphasize that villagers how to integrate into municipal life in the construction of resettlement areas, in order to coordinate urban and rural development in urbanization process. Finally, the article combines with the planning of resettlement area at Lingui newly added district in Guilin, and proposes planning strategies that paying attention to human development promotes the construction of resettlement areas for land-expropriated villagers.
