Study on Development & Design of Product Service System

Article Preview

Abstract:

To achieve sustainable development of human society, it can not only rely on eco-design. We need more comprehensive design that integrate economic/social issues, especially design of the product service system (PSS). A value gap model of PSS development & design is put forward by using service quality model in marketing science. Based on the value gap model, the principle and process of PSS development & design are proposed, which require the consideration of supply and demand with bio-directional perspective. Focusing on the analysis of value gap, the new stereotypical model of PSS development & design is built, including the state parameter and the value conflicts of all stakeholders. Thus, the process of PSS development & design could be quantitatively and rationally evaluated.
