Abstract: A MMW radiometer is widely used in remote sensing and guidance. In order to obtain the real brightness temperature distribution of the target, we need to solve the first kind of ill Fredholm integral equation of radiometric antenna temperature. The paper presents a kind of inversion method for modifying antenna pattern and the approach of error compensation. Compared with the theoretical calculation model of 3mm smooth water surface, the results show this algorithm has a higher accuracy for the measurement application.

Abstract: The fast development of the Graphics Processing Unit’s progammability and parallel computing power provides new solutions for visualization technology. As the carrier of volume date, a cubic box is selected as the bounding box in the improved ray-casting algorithm, whose diagonal vertex coordinates are stored in boxMin and boxMax respectively. By adjusting the two parameters we can change the shape of the bounding box and then choose the interesting region of the object, a CUDA based interactive volumetric clipping tool is finally realised. By changing the shape of bounding box, the axial volumetric clipping and arbitrary cross-section clipping are important ways to help to get the object's internal information. Experiments show this method is simple, efficient and useful especially for the irregular shape defect. In addition, even for the larger volume of data, we can get a high quality, cross-sectional images on a fast speed.

Abstract: In order to improve the reliability and safety of door magnetic switch, a mathematical model of three reed switches was designed to satisfy this requirement under different permanent magnetic distribution. To obtain the same magnetic adsorption force for the magnetic reed switch, this paper uses a simulation method based on ANSYS software to mainly analyze the different distribution of three permanent magnets how to affect the adsorption force of door magnetic switch. The simulation results demonstrate that the adsorption force is different for different layout of permanent magnet and help to obtain the installing position of the reed switch and to improve the reliability.

Abstract: A novel design of data acquisition system based on CPLD and DSP coordination control is presented. Verilog HDL is adopted in this system to realize the function of Schmitt trigger on CPLD. Combining with the method of zero-crossing detection, the RMS of signal voltage, current and frequency are effectively calculated. Experimental results indicate that the given method has improved the detection efficiency and computational accuracy.

Abstract: Magnetic survey has been applied to detect underwater pipeline location, tracking and depth more and more nowadays. In order to detect such smaller targets, besides the application of high-precision magnetometer detector, an effective method especial for underwater pipeline is needed. This paper is to research the magnetic survey method for detecting the underwater pipeline. In terms of its magnetic anomaly characteristic, magnetic sensor array and magnetic anomaly gradient method which can eliminate geomagnetic diurnal variation are adopted to detect the location, tracking and depth of underwater pipeline. Finally, the experiment has shown that this method has good detection accuracy and value in engineering application.

Abstract: This paper introduces the principles of the through casing resistivity logging. By calibration test, the measurement range of the through casing resistivity logging instruments designed by Xi’an Shiyou University has been verified, and the results prove that the performance of this instruments meet its design requirements. The measurement range of the instruments is 0-100 Ohms, and the absolute error is less than 7%.

Abstract: Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) technology is making progressing rapidly, and many meaningful applications based on this technology are under studying. For instance, UWB Radar for Human Life Detection is a promising usage, which is considered as an effective machine to rescue the earthquakes’ victims, detection weapon in anti-terrorism wars, and medical device to detect patients’ life information. In this paper, a non-invasive UWB Life-Detection Radar developed in simple structure is described, and the key mechanism of this system is given, the method of processing the radar echo signal is discussed, finally, the results of the life-detection experiments based on this radar are introduced.

Abstract: Monitoring the flow behaviour on the micro-scale is very important in many industrial and biochemical process, the multiphase coexistence in microchannel provide many attractive characteristics compared to a single-phase flow. The precise flow rate control and well-defined channel geometries make it possible for us to make detailed investigation on multiphase flow phenomena. This paper aims at the measurement of resistance distribution in the cross-section of a novel microchannel based on the Agilent measuring instruments. Experimental results verified the possibility of estimation on particle concentration in the solid-liquid two-phase flow by the measurement of resistance distribution in the microchannel.

Abstract: In modern warfare, it is important to estimate the frequency of some unknown microwave signal. In this paper, we present a novel microwave frequency measurement scheme based on the detection of phase shift of the unknown microwave signal. We theoretically deduced the formula that could prove the feasibility of our proposal, and came up in the end of the paper with the experimental setup that could be used to consolidate our proposal.

Abstract: In order to test the building waterproof related problems during the transition period, an evaluating inspection by means of predictive maintenance method applying Infrared Thermography (IRT) technology is executed in the paper. The restriction of ongoing, leakage background and its history, possibility of problems and areas and potential issues may face were discussed and mainly made full use of the capability of IRT to find potential problems that human eyes cannot easily see and confirm where not certain by site visual inspection.
