Design of a Digital Controller for the Pneumatic Actuator

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper analyzes the composition and principle of the pneumatic actuator system, establishes the model and deduces the transfer function of the system, and gets the simulation result through the model and the transfer function. It designs the digital controller which meets performance requirements, then calibrates the ADC, and develops the control program based on the GPIO mode of the TMS320F2812, which produces 8 channels differential PWM signals. It turned out that the simulation results agree with the experimental results, and both reach the expected performance, realizing the design of the digital controller for the pneumatic actuator.
