Abstract: In this paper, we firstly devise a p-ary subdivision scheme based on normal vectors with multi-parameters to generate fractals. The method is easy to use and effective in generating fractals since the values of the parameters and the directions of normal vectors can be designed freely to control the shape of generated fractals. Secondly, we illustrate the technique with some design results of fractal generation and the corresponding fractal examples from the point of view of visualization. Finally, some fractal properties of the limit of the presented subdivision scheme are described from the point of view of theoretical analysis.

Abstract: This paper presents a novel approach to compute user similarity based on weighted bipartite network and resource allocation principle for collaborative filtering recommendation. The key is to calculate the asymmetric user weighted matrix and translate it into a symmetric user similarity matrix. We carry out extensive experiments over Movielens data set and demonstrate that the proposed approach can yield better recommendation accuracy and can partly to alleviate the trouble of sparseness. Compare with traditional collaborative filtering recommendation algorithms based on Pearson correlation similarity and adjusted cosine similarity, the proposed method can improve the average predication accuracy by 6.7% and 0.6% respectively.

Abstract: In software engineering, the problem on obtaining software architecture possessing the framework for satisfying requirements, and properties of playing roles as the technical basis and the managerial basis in software development process has not yet been solved. It is necessary to first solve a partial software architecture problem to get breakthrough. This paper focuses on a small part of MIS software, namely a user requirement assemble, and addresses issues on its structure pattern and architecting. Through the approach – to induce rationale from scenarios and to deduce structure from rationale, it is found that there exists a pattern so called as ‘multiple interfaces plus a functional calculator (MI+C in short)’ structure for all kinds of the assembles, which can be deployed as the technical basis for design and the managerial basis for the development process.

Abstract: Oriented at dynamic data from complicated process with noise disturbance, it is very difficult to discover knowledge of correlativity and orderliness. Following some analyzing results about the shortcoming of relative coefficients in mining non-stationary time series, a series of new algorithms are built in this paper to mine correlativity in two-dimensional time series. These new algorithms are based on a expansible framework of model set. Based on these new mining algorithms, a making decision table is listed not only to mine correlativity in two-dimensional time series, but also to discover deepening knowledge to transform the qualitative knowledge “nonlinear relativity” as well as “non-relativity” into deeper quantitative knowledge about analytical model. These new approaches given in this paper is exoteric in framework and can be enriched with additional new models. In this way, some professional data mining and knowledge discovery cab be fulfilled to aim at some specific professional fields.

Abstract: In this project, the utility of virtual environment modeling techniques based on geometric model on modeling street virtual reality systems was studied. The aim is to design a set of modeling streetscape system based on virtual reality systems. In designation phase, this system was based on computer graphics, and virtual environment entities were set up modeled by real entities in life. In the study, the East and West Huashi Street in Chongwen district was taken as a study area, the model of the scene was set up by virtual reality geo-information system, special virtual reality modeling software Multigen Creator was used to set up the 3D environment of the space, and the virtual reality scene was set up with advanced C language and called Vega function library, so that interactive manipulation of boosting, reducing, turning, searching and roaming of the virtual scene could be realized.

Abstract: In this article, geometric primitive approach is used to realize the design and development of point symbol database for mapping based on C# .NET and ArcGIS Engine. This paper presents the design framework and the design process of point symbol database, and studies design method and attribute management of point symbol, especially the design of point symbol attribute of word type of TrueType, which makes conveniently the point symbol for special map users needed.

Abstract: Diffserv-aware and Traffic Engineering combine the advantages of MPLS, Traffic Engineering (TE) and Differentiated Services (Diffserv, DS) to provide high performance and Quality of Service(QoS) in networks. We have designed three scenarios on Juniper Networks platforms to analyze the packet loss rate and delay for video, voice and data. The results show that MPLS DS-TE can improve the QoS for differentiated service effectively. The research has practical value for the development of DS-TE based on MPLS.

Abstract: In the present paper we introduce an approach to implementing parallel metaheuristic optimization frameworks which is used in the design of the framework HeO. This experimental cross-platform framework is a collection of popular optimization methods implemented in C++ as algorithmic skeletons. The key feature of the discussed approach is the wide usage of metaprogramming and design patterns which allow to increase the reusability of the code and ease the process of hybrid algorithms construction for the end-user. We consider framework structure and implementation details and provide the results of numerical experiments for some well-known optimization problems.

Abstract: The traditional approach for generating software reliability test cases according to operational profile (OP) can be regarded as a simple random sampling. The stratified sampling is a complex but more accurate sampling approach which can make the sampling results more accurate and less variance by dividing the population into several subsets and randomly sampling from each subset respectively. Firstly, this paper introduced the traditional method which can be used to determine the number of test cases in the discrete-type software reliability demonstration testing. Secondly, the necessary condition for the minimum test case based on the stratified sampling was studied. Then a new approach was proposed and its principle was analyzed for determining the minimum test case of the discrete-type software by using the stratified sampling. Finally, the future work was discussed.

Abstract: In this paper, a new type of air vehicle with forward-swept wing was described. Its subsonic aerodynamic characteristics was calculated using FLUENT in terms of structured grids which were generated by GRIDGEN, finally its subsonic characteristics was analyzed. The methods and results expected are of positive significance to our future design on both civil and military air vehicle with forward-swept wing .
