Abstract: In order to investigate isolation effectiveness on seismic performance of the continuous rigid frame bridge, shaking table test with nine sub-tables on 1/10 scaled reinforced concrete rigid frame bridge specimen was performed. The experimental results demonstrate that isolation devices provide flexibility to transform natural period of the scaled model, and additional it can improve the ability of energy dissipation when lead is used. The initial first frequency is 8.17Hz for plate-type rubber bearing and 9.12Hz for leading rubber bearing. The plate rubber bearing and lead-rubber bearing are quite sensitive to seismic wave frequency. The use of various isolation devices affects response of the bridge model. The results show that the more difference in the isolation devices, the more difference in response. Moreover, isolation effect of lead-rubber bearing show obviously more advantage than the one of plate-type rubber bearing, especially in controlling responses of the bridge during major earthquakes.

Abstract: The elastic and plastic properties of functionally graded materials in our model are assumed to abide by the mixing law and a program package is developed based on the material subroutines in ABAQUS. Using this package, an elastic-plastic analysis is performed to study a plate made of functionally graded materials. Results of a flexible design and an elastic-plastic design, and those of a continuous structure and a layered structure are compared. It is found that the elastic-plastic design is more reasonable than the flexible design and the continuous structure is more in line with the design concept of functionally graded materials.

Abstract: Restoring force model is a simplified mathematical model derived from restoring force-deformation curves in lots of tests. Selecting a reasonable restoring force model is the basis of conducting dynamic nonlinear analysis of structure. The work further investigates the advantage and disadvantage of the restoring force models presented in this paper. Classified and brief comments about the existing drawbacks of restoring force models and its application are conducted. Lastly, some useful suggestions are proposed for the further research.

Abstract: Square concrete-filled steel tubes (CFSTs) are gaining increasing usage in modern construction practice, offering improved mechanical properties and increased material efficiency compared with the individual steel and core concrete components. However, the cross-section slenderness of the encasing steel is, although more inflexible than a comparable hollow steel tube, restrained due to local buckling. A number of innovative kinds of reinforcement stiffeners have been put forward particularly for the square CFSTs with slender sections of encasing steel. To investigate the mechanical effect of the reinforcement stiffeners and compare them with traditional ones in practice, four square CFSTs welded with various reinforcement stiffeners and one reference CFST have been tested, and are presented in this paper. The mechanical behaviors such as the resistance, ductility and failure mode investigated during the test were also studied in the theoretical research, which was carried out to predict and summarize the comprehensive properties of the specimens.

Abstract: This paper is aimed to a steel structure needed to add layer of this situation, the structure of the overall appraisal. On the basis of testing application SAP2000 and PKPM respectively on the existing structure and add layer structure of the theory analysis and conclusion: the existing structure various indexes meet the standard, except member slenderness ratio; Add layer structure of the torsion effect is abate, overall stability problems etc. The appraisal and analysis of project will be for the future similar project to provide some reference.

Abstract: A newly built train station housing cover using a parasol unit structure, main structure component is bidirectional cantilever stell truss, chord rod is large size welding thin wall box section, canopy adopt large span steel truss.Because the span of the structure is large, the structure is strange, the process of the construction is complex, plus the period is long and difficult,so there are uncertain factors in the process. Therefore, the process of construction mechanical characteristics and design states may be different. It is necessary to conduct stress performance monitoring in the construction process. This paper introduces test condition of train station roof structure. At the same time, the installation process of the stell roof system is simulated and analyzed with MIDAS in this paper.By the analysis and comparison of the test value and the theoretical analysis of the scene, there are some rule of deform and stress in the process of construction and points out some problems needing attention in the construction period.

Abstract: This paper was based on the frame structure model with fixed support, and put forward five kinds of condition caused by uneven settlement. ANSYS was used to analyze the stress characteristics of frame structure. Through the comparative analysis of five kinds of condition, change law of the structural internal force is found.

Abstract: This paper analysed a cold-formed thin-wall steel-ribbed housing’s internal forces, displacements and the overall stability under different load combinations by the finite element method, the results showed that the structure system could meet the capacity requirements and mitigate the structure weight effectively, save the amount of steel. It also proposed the shoring arrangement of increasing the building overall lateral stiffness by comparative analysis.

Abstract: Bridge dynamics is an important topic in the development of the modern Bridges. It not only can reflect the mechanical performance of the bridge structure under the action of vehicle load, but also reveals system influences on the bridge structure under seismic action. But in order to supplement the shortage of the pure theoretical mechanics model, we need to do some tests to improve the research that is also the most reliable method. Illustrated by the example of a viaduct (continuous steel box girder-bridge) in Taiyuan, the testing span is loaded and tested. We analyze the structure using the bridge calculation common software Midas. The existing Bridge in dynamic test loads is analyzed to research that if their vibration characteristics and dynamic response and dynamic performance can meet the requirements of normal use.
