Fault Tree Analysis of Vehicle Engine Lubricating Oil’s Failure

Abstract:

Through a systematic analysis of various aspects during the process of vehicle engine lubricating oil storage, transportation and use, this paper set up vehicle engine lubricating oil failure fault tree which chose the failure of vehicle engine lubricating oil as the top event. Through the analysis of the fault tree, the minimal cut sets of fault trees were figured out based on the Boolean algebra method. Besides, the structure importance was analyzed, and thus the failure detection process was given and some preventive measures were recommended.
