Abstract: This contribution proposes an optimization of material flow by means of modernizing of forging lines - type induction furnace / crank forging press / trimming press. The basis of design of forging line treatment is placement of hydraulic shear machine for shearing of heated bar to semi-products before respective forging of forged pieces. This method helped to remove previous redundant workplace for semi-products preparation, which causes reduction of technologic operations and substantial decrease of material flow in die forge. Proposed variant of material flow optimization brings economic profit by means of reduction of production times and fuels costs intended for pallets transport. Given save will be interesting for die forges as it contains also calculation of logistical effect.

Abstract: In this contribution is presented the writing principle of activity of individual devices in intelligent production systems. At present, the development of technologies is focused on automation systems where manual handling of material disappearing and replaced by manipulation of semi-automated or automated equipment. These operations are to ensure that these devices easier to synchronize automatically closed cycle. The beginning is dedicated to intelligent production systems, their definition, division and principles. In the next section is presented a possible the writing principle of activity of devices and is described different methods of this writing.

Abstract: The roughness of the machined surface is determined by the kinematics of chip removal, the shaping and the geometry of the cutting edge. The change of the surface roughness in cutting done under different conditions is easy to follow examining the theoretical value of roughness characteristics. This paper examines how the extent of the theoretical value of total height of profile depends on the different technological parameters in rotational turning. Furthermore the surface roughness and roughness profile is compared achievable by rotational turning and traditional longitudinal turning (in case of radius and pointed cutting tool).

Abstract: This paper presents a method of finite element modelling used for thermal expansion analysis of the complex body assemblies. In this research, the assembly of complex body consists of single cylinder air cooling engine block and fixtures necessary for machining and assembling with cylinder casing. The assembly is loaded with an uniform distributed thermal field and the thermal expansion for internal sections of engine block is determined. The minimum section is used for assembling between engine block and cylinder casing by shrink fit technology. The paper also presents a comparison between results obtained using two different methods: linear thermal expansion and finite element method. The final results are implemented in a software tool, named GENgine, developed by the authors and used for digital manufacturing of engine block.

Abstract: Tool logistics is expected for economic and just-in-time production, whereas expensive machine tools require instantly available supplies of the right cutting tools. In this context demand for high tool availability is a need to reduce non-productive times by shortening tool`s set-up times. A solution of the tool logistics depends on a level of automation and integration of manufacturing systems. The article presents current state of the tool logistics system established on the intelligent technologies. It applies general solutions in tool logistics system in the Centre of Excellence of 5-axis Machining at Faculty of Materials Science and Technology in Trnava. There are described some important processes and equipments for their implementation.

Abstract: The article presents findings from the evaluation of the economic efficiency of environmental investments, in relation to environmental management in the context of corporate social responsibility, and their interconnection, based on the method CBA. The CBA method is the basic pillar of the computer program CBA1.1, which was created for the needs of business practices for small and medium businesses of the evaluation of the economic efficiency of social projects. The program creates a presumption that the CBA1.1 is the rapid evaluation of a rapid assessment of the upcoming social project. It gives a clear answer as to whether the project is acceptable or not.

Abstract: The importance of cooperation in the supply chain has led scholars to suggest diverse approaches for problems in the collaboration process. Cooperation refers to the integration of different parts of an organization or different organizations in supply chain to accomplish a collective set of tasks and to achieve mutual benefits. The use of modern information technology (IT) decision support systems is fast becoming an indispensable tool for designing and managing complex supply chain systems today. This study describes a model of intelligent framework for cooperation in the supply chain environment. The aim of the paper is to demonstrate that agent technology can represent the supply chains by (a) reviewing intelligent agent applications for supply chain and (b) illustrating how a multi-agent system can provides a solution for supply chain cooperation. We review and synthesis existing applications in comparison to traditional and Internet-based technologies and critically evaluate agent technology applicability for supply chain management. This paper thus provides an intelligent framework for extended enterprise cooperation (i-SEEC) by adopting the techniques of the Semantic Web service and Multi-agents system. The proposed system can integrate different information technologies to make its behavior more intelligent and to catch more useful information from supply chain actors.

Abstract: This paper deals with the knowledge of the author of the application procedure for synchronizing with multistage operations variants of how an assembly processes in the design layout of the workplace of more assembly lines and its verifying the selected applications. This is a new balancing method, which allows for the set as follows to minimize the number of workplaces more of that line. Operations synchronizing on the assembly process over the line in a question is performed by exchanging variant ways of making assembly operations, technological advances over the present line of products according to their coefficient of efficiency. Switching of variations on how an operation is achieved minimizing the total idle time line of more in question line and at the same time increasing of product added value flow of before stated arbor line in question. Algorithm of synchronizing operations assembly processes of more lines in question takes place in two stages. Use them to reach new designs layout of workplaces over the routes with fewer offices than in the first stage, but with a lower total cost (purchase and production) and these are also evaluated by the coefficient of efficiency over the present line. The highest increase in the value of the flow of value-added variant achieves the highest value of the coefficient of efficiency over the present line. The aim of synchronizing the application of the proposed action is to increase the flow of value added products in question more assembly lines and flexible response to customer needs.

Abstract: Energy production from biomass is now a very popular trend in energy generation. These initiatives are supported by the European Union legislation and state governments. Undoubtedly, the idea of renewable energy production can be justified and promising. However, it should be considered from a wider perspective of supply chain than merely focusing on the share of renewable sources in total energy production. The economic and ecological importance of biomass use to energy generation largely depends on the logistics of biomass supply to power plants. The location of biomass sources and the organization of supply are very important stages that impact on final economic results of energy production. Furthermore, the improper choice of means of transport and process organization for managing renewable sources of energy might have a negative ecological effect. Therefore, the authors attempted to analyze the cost-related aspects of biomass supply (including the seasonal biomass price fluctuation) to the analyzed power plant and the effect of this factor on financial results of energy production.

Abstract: Remote diagnostics means the substitution of regular in-place diagnostic processes with methods based on telecommunication networks. This includes online monitoring of the vehicles' On-Board systems. Those corporations run on logistics, transportation, using these devices experience in order to increase reliability and decrease down-time of their vehicles. In our paper we introduce our research results on how to make possible remote diagnostics of vehicles through a GSM system. For remote diagnostics through GSM network, it is necessary to reduce the amount of data to be transmitted. We explain our implemented filter algorithms developed into a programmable controller for the reduction of communication load.
