Abstract: Under the conditions of the current economic-social development within the industrial companys management, there occurs a new function, that of logistics which has a decisive influence on the companys other functions. Thus, the industrial companys logistics is systematically approached, emphasising its elements, namely: production logistics, commercial logistics, operational logistics, sales support logistics, pilotage logistics. These costs can be deemed as being total costs that depend on the total quantity that is subject to the logistical process. Any activity of logistics within the company can be analysed by means of a questionnaire called Logitest.

Abstract: The paper specifies the development marks of the logistic support system at a flood-prevention and its mater-of-fact oriented volume with the elements structure which respond to development of the floods risks and menace. The mentions the integration tendencies in up-to-date database information systems by reason of which the logistic processes crisis management of protection and saving in a defined endangered territorial locality will become more effective. Geographical Information Systems (GIS) for generation maps of flood risks and modelling predicted flowage maps are the base of study case. The databases characterizing identity, place and number of persons and elements of the protected interests entities and elements and place of a territorial infrastructure including potential of the disposable humane interests and technical and technological capacities are continued the bases. There is the idea of harmonizing crisis management of a logistic support in real time in the visual map of an operation centre of the integrated safety system by means of using development information base concept in the end of this paper.

Abstract: Anyone intending to manage transportation of the future must examine current developments closely. How do goods flow How can logistical processes be organized better with the aid of new telematic technologies and handling concepts Strategies to manage them arise from tests under real conditions and in the laboratory. Today, the reliable and precise functioning of telematic units is just as much a part of logistics as the incorporation of environmental factors. Therefore, under the auspices of the Ministry of State Development and Transportation, Saxony-Anhalt, it led to the establishment of the Saxony-Anhalt Galileo Test Bed. The test bed is intended to support developments and innovations systematically. The goal of the Saxony-Anhalt Galileo-Test Bed is to systematically support Saxony-Anhalt´s enterprises and research organizations that are developing new localization, navigation and communication services and products for transportation (road and rail) and logistics to create new jobs in these sectors. The paper deals with the research questions which should be answered.

Abstract: In recent year, many countries across in the world have made traceability a compulsory procedure in the Supply Chain. The Supply Chain is distributed collaborative environments involves the acquisition and use of extensive informational and physical flows. The flows management seems a complex task for the actors of the multimodal transport chain which the transport is the major driver in a Supply Chain. The literature reviews throws light on the traceability in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) shows the lack of interoperability and flexibility in data management systems hinders the work of traceability. And it introduces the importance and complexity of multimodal transport operations. To ensure effective traceability all along this chain, we relied on the agent paradigm and the ontology which facilitate the integration of goods data in order to exploit and reuse. Indeed, to ensure communication and interoperability of these data we relied on Multi-Agent Systems, due to their characteristics of autonomy, sociability and responsiveness that are generally associated. The Multi-Agent Systems can build flexible systems whose behaviors are complex and complicated due to the combination of different types of agents. With a focus on the importance of the concept of the traceability, the objective of this work is to propose an intelligent system for the traceability of containerized goods in the context of multimodal transport: Intelligent Traceability System of Containerized Goods (i-TSCG).

Abstract: This article deals with the procedure during designing the multi-criteria function. The multi-criteria function optimizes the number of workers in an e-maintenance. The basis for defining the multi-criteria function is to gain multi-dimensional assessment knowledge of procedures, and to integrate the procedures into e-maintenance systems. These systems also include an e-maintenance system for staffing optimization. Staffing optimization is necessary as there is direct indirection between service staff members and the customers. This sort of system is intended primarily for service organizations. Service organizations on a larger scale involve more than just machinery and equipment-they involve the manufacturer and the supplier. The key is to design a multi-criterion optimization function for staff members who use special tools or specialists in their field. The ultimate goal is to limit losses and ensure costs are kept to a minimum, or even transfer onto the customer. The verification of the proposed multi-criteria function as a suitable tool for computer simulation in the manufacturing process is done in the simulation program named Witness. The simulation software is linked to MS Excel.

Abstract: The most comfortable way of human communication is speech, which is a possible channel of human-machine interface as well. Moreover, a voice driven system can be controlled with busy hands. Performance of a speech recognition system is highly decayed by presence of noise. Logistic systems typically work in noisy environment, so noise reduction is crucial in industrial speech processing systems. Traditional noise reduction procedures (e.g. Wiener and Kalman filters) are effective on stationary or Gaussian noise. The noise of a real workplace can be captured by an additional microphone: The voice microphone takes both speech and noise, while the noise mike takes only the noise signal. Because of the phase shift of the two signals, simple subtraction in time domain is ineffective. In this paper, we discuss a spectral representation modeling the noise and voice signals. A frequency spectrum based noise cancellation method is proposed and verified in real industrial environment.

Abstract: Waste are the product, left behind, of the mines activity in Poland. Having in mind, that this kind activity is conducted on a large scale, because coal is still the main source for polish energetic sector, it generates a large amount of waste. Which needed be to treated appropriately. This waste management (waste from mines) is a major line of the enterprise, presented in this article. Like any other, in this company there are processes that altogether create a supply chain. However, due to the type of waste and taking account the present business condition, enterprise has implemented, recently, the elements into the logistics processes, which are consistent with sustainable development conception. These elements will be described in this article together with the effects of its use in economic, environmental and social aspects

Abstract: The aim of the article is to analyse and to provide a detail determination of some aspects that influence the effective functioning of the stock processes in the modern retail chains. The article deals with the monitoring of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and of the efficiency of the stock processes. Another areas described in the article are some aspects of the modern stock management by using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with orientation on the reception of goods and picking of goods processes. In the area of the reception of goods, the article deals with the utilization of the Electronic Data Interchange for the Despatch Advice (EDI DESADV) in combination with the exploitation of the Serial Shipping Container Code (SSCC) during the goods reception. The picking of goods process is supported by the voice technology for picking of goods.

Abstract: In our paper we introduce a part of our research where we develop a voice-commanded operator surface which can help to improve the efficiency of the operators work. We want to integrate a voice recognition software module to the control system of a monorail. In the paper we will examine the speech recognizer module and the possibilities of integration to the PLC system of the monorail. The integration can be done via serial communication, via Ethernet or via OPC using a SCADA system. Our aim is to create a reliable and cost-effective system.

Abstract: Logistics is primarily concerned with the question by which functional, organization, personnel and material resources, the information, material and value flow of materials through the whole enterprise can be improved and optimized. By this the logistics gains the integrating business function. However, as many managerial fields and also this one does not work without problems. That is why we will try to describe the main problematic areas, to present some lean methods and the results the company will achieve due to them.
