Development of Drilling Engineering

Abstract:

This paper describes a brief history of the drilling project, a detailed exposition of modern deviation control and drilling fast technology. It is the characteristics analysis and elaboration of the conventional pendulum drill, High WOB Deviation Control, screwdrill and turbodrill. Then, it is pointed out that the most advanced drilling method which is rotary steerable drilling tool, and the ultimate development direction which is intelligent well technology. It is pointed out typical composition and purpose of the intelligent well system.
