The Application of Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors in High Voltage Switchgear Contact Temperature Measurement Monitoring System

Article Preview

Abstract:

The power system is the system by a large number of generation, transmission, distribution and utilization electrical equipment connected. The reliability of these devices directly determines the stability and security of the entire system. High Voltage Switchgear contacts run in high voltage and high current state, is closely related to its operational reliability and contact temperature rising. During the grid operation, the mechanical vibration, the contact ablation and other reasons could deteriorate the exposure conditions; increase in contact resistance, causing the temperature rise of the contact, exacerbate the contact surface oxidation. Resulting arcing at partial of welded or contact loose. Eventually cause damage to the electrical equipment and even power outages and other major incidents. Therefore, the contact temperature of the high-voltage cabinet line monitoring is of great significance.
